Juan Davis

   

 I'm Juan Davis, nice to meet you! I am a jack of all trades that has played a lot of different roles on a number of different projects. I started my career as a freelance editor but what I really gravitate to is writing, directing and producing.

As an independent filmmaker I've screened films in over thirty festivals in the US and Internationally. One of my most successful films Rebel Child was accepted into 17 film festivals including the Hollywood Black Film Festival and SF Indie Fest. 

 

Still eager to continue making films and learn everything I can to make me, the best me, with my craft.

I'm currently working on a feature film entitled "The Lick." It is a high intensity horror thriller that is projected to go into production in 2023.

Currently in the bay area, I produce content for Google Developer Studio where I create inspirational stories about developers that are making an impact across the globe. Most recently in 2022 I was the recipient of a Webby Award, Honoree for Diversity & Inclusion in Media, PR and Advertising for a series I produced entitled #IamaGDE that highlights different Google Developer Experts that are influencing their local communities with their contributions.

I am also the current director for the Afro ComicCon Film Festival. A festival centered around empowering underrepresented filmmakers in the industry. Showcasing Afrofuturistic content.
